About this Page
On this page, I will post a variety of resources throughout the semester, such as links to books and other media that may be of interest. At the top, I also include a more practical list of Brooklyn College resources related to accessibility and student aid. If there is a resource you feel should be included on this page, please feel free to email it to me so I can add it!
Accessibility and Student Aid
- Disabilities: The Center for Student Disability Services (CSDS) is committed to ensuring students with disabilities enjoy an equal opportunity to participate at Brooklyn College. In order to receive disability-related academic accommodations, students must first be registered with CSDS. Students who have a documented disability or suspect they may have a disability are invited to schedule an interview by calling (718) 951-5538 or emailing [email protected] If you have already registered with CSDS, email [email protected] or [email protected] to ensure accommodation emails are sent to your professor.
- The Learning Center: Offers peer tutoring in writing, mathematics, core courses, gateway courses, and many other subjects. If you are struggling with writing for this course, the Learning Center is a great resource. More information here.
- Personal Counseling: The Division of Student Affairs offers free personal counseling and workshops. More information can be found at this link.
- Financial Assistance: If you are facing financial difficulties there are several resources that may be of assistance. The first is the Office of Financial Aid. You may be eligible to apply for a Student Emergency Grant or the Immigrant Success Office COVID-19 Emergency Relief Grant Application.
- Food Insecurity: The Brooklyn College Food Pantry is available to assist students who are facing challenges getting enough food.
